Into Spring: the Next Generation by Larry Landgraf

Thank you Liz for the opportunity to share this review on your website. For more of my reviews go to http://wordrefiner.com/previous-book-reviews

This is a great continuation of the story started in volume one Into Autumn. This review is spoiler free as they all are.

Into Spring is a more polished book, it feels smoother than the first book. This is not to detract from the first book in the least. Larry continues keeping POV really clean, something I greatly appreciate. His character development is first rate, the people mature in a normal fashion. Settings and action are well balanced with dialog and narration is good. Larry’s pacing is relaxed and enjoyable. Certain parts of the book impacted me mightily, my eyes were even sweating a little bit towards the end.

This book does quite well as a stand-alone novel. The reading experience will be much more rewarding if you read Into Autumn first.

More good news! Larry is working on the next installment already.

I found two minor errors that will in no way detract from pure reading pleasure.

Into Spring gets 5 STARS!

Littlethumb Sneezed by Truant D. Memphis

Thank you Liz for the opportunity to share this review on your website. For more of my reviews go to http://wordrefiner.com/previous-book-reviews

Author Truant Memphis introduces us to Littlethumb Sneezed:

What would happen if everything in the world froze but you?

Littlethumb Sneezed is the tale of prolific artist and renowned philanthropist Littlethumb Brooks. From the discovery of his creative genius as a child to his rise to fame, join Littlethumb on a satirical journey through the world of American pop culture. It is a life filled with love, laughter, charity, art, disguises, magic tricks, international intrigue, and unfortunately, horrible tragedy. There’s also a punk rocker named Tommy Toxic.

It began with the Occurrence. Littlethumb was a little boy…

I enjoyed this book a great deal and was surprised by the story in a number of places. No spoilers allowed here!

Truant has an unusual writing style for me. His writing lacks the balance between narration, dialog, and action that I prefer. But he pulled this off really well! His POV was clean and easy to follow. I was fully immersed in the story and experienced many different emotions. His characters are nicely developed and very easy to relate to, whether you love them or hate them.

The ending surprised me and left me all twisted up inside, I loved it and I hated it. I guess I loved it. Really, I loved the book!

You will love this quirky and entertaining story also!

I give Littlethumb Sneezed 4.7 stars of 5! The score would have been higher but for the several spelling errors I found.
